Outputs  

The aim of the partnership was to develop Master and PHD curricula focused on the aspects of governance and sustainability. However, during the lifetime of the project, numerous accompanying results have also been elaborated:

  • Master program –  Full Master programme “Governance for Sustainability”*
  • PHD program – Full PHD programme “Governance for Sustainability”*
  • Syllabuses presenting learning elements were prepared for each course in the programme. They were elaborated according to the latest standards of teaching, and present all relevant information for successful teaching of the subject e.g.: learning outcomes, mode of delivery, prerequisites and co-requisites, recommended optional programme components, course contents, recommended or required reading.
  • Guide for teachers, which collects all relevant documents and information needed for teachers, university officials and administrative staff to successfully implement and run the programme. The guide consists of: presentation of GAVA project, syllabuses, e-learning platform guide and study regulations, which tackle administrative and operational aspects of introducing common programme.
  • Needs Assessment Report for Governance for Sustainable Development Programme (GAVA) is a report based on surveys carried out with students, officials in (non-) governmental institutions, coordinators and PhD supervisors. Findings of the Report were used to better adjust Master and PHD programme to the needs of the education system, labour market and students.

  • International conference, which was held on 22.09.2012 in Rethymno, Greece.  Almost 100 attendants and 18 speakers from Europe debated about following subjects: Sustainable Urban Development, Governance Effectiveness, Sustainable Development and Environment- Eco-hydrology, Management of Sustainability  and Sustainable Agriculture, Food and Public Health.
  • Pilot testing: chosen courses were pilot tested using e-learning platform. In total about 50 students from Poland, the UK, Germany, France and Greece took part in the pilot testing.
  • Project newsletter – a short publication focused on the area of governance and sustainability.
  • Project leaflet – a flyer presenting GAVA programme.
